Background-
BeOne Medicines has named Kandeepan Ganeshalingam Vice-President and Head of Medical Affairs, Europe, placing him in charge of strengthening the company’s scientific leadership, evidence generation and engagement with the global oncology community. Ganeshalingam will also sit on the company’s European Leadership and Europe Senior Management Teams.
Ganeshalingam brings more than 25 years of experience spanning clinical medicine, oncology drug development and medical affairs. He joins BeOne Medicines at what the company describes as a pivotal stage in its growth, as it continues advancing oncology innovation and building out its presence across Europe.
He most recently led Oncology Medical across Pfizer’s International Markets, a remit covering regions including China and Japan. Before Pfizer, Ganeshalingam served as Vice President and Head of International Medical Affairs at Seagen, where he ran medical affairs activities across international markets for the company’s oncology portfolio.
His career also includes senior leadership positions at MSD, Roche and CSL Vifor, where he contributed to clinical development, safety risk management, medical strategy, regulatory advancement and market access for medicines spanning oncology, haematology and immunology.
Ganeshalingam has spoken about the importance of building collaboration between European and global policymakers, patients, healthcare providers, academic institutions and the pharmaceutical industry to advance equitable, innovative cancer care.
He holds membership in several professional societies, including the European Society for Medical Oncology and the American Society of Clinical Oncology.
