The two-day conference witnessed the presence of more than 120 participants representing the Arab countries and approximately 90 delegates from Greece. The participation of government officials, diplomats, doctors, pharmaceutical firms, and healthcare technology firms at the conference suggested the growing willingness of both sides to cooperate.

Among the major participants in the event, there were Greek Health Minister Adonis Georgiadis, Syrian Health Minister Dr Musaab Nazzal Al-Ali, Yemeni Health Minister Dr Qasem Mohammed Buhaibeh, and Libyan Deputy Health Minister Dr Saadeldine Al-Mismari. It was evident that the role of the conference was becoming increasingly significant in regional discussion and cooperation.

The main focus of discussion included topics such as pharmaceuticals, healthcare services, hospital upgrading, digital transformation in healthcare, and artificial intelligence applications in diagnoses and treatments.

The conference featured 52 speakers from Greece, the Arab world, and Europe. Organisers said the strong participation and active discussions demonstrated a shared commitment to expanding healthcare collaboration and encouraging investment across the sector.

During the event, the Arab-Hellenic Chamber honoured Egyptian Ambassador Omar Amer and Saudi Ambassador Ali Bin Yousef as they completed their diplomatic assignments in Greece. Several Arab physicians were also recognised for their long-standing contributions to Greece’s healthcare sector.

Concluding the conference, organisers reaffirmed their commitment to supporting new healthcare, business, and investment partnerships between Greece and Arab countries, with a focus on turning discussions into concrete projects and long-term cooperation.
